I’m excited to share that I’ll be appearing on episode two of Soul Gardens, a new Bronx public television program, next Saturday at 12pm EST!

On the show I’ll highlight simple pantry staples that support immunity, discuss the parasympathetic nervous system, the system that takes over when we are stressed—also called the “fight or flight” response—and share some yummy immune-building recipes.

To watch, tune in to Optimum channel 68 and FiOS channel 2134, or stream live from wherever you may be, here [https://www.bronxnet.org/watch/].

This is an intense time on so many levels. The goal of this show is to empower folks to go into cold and flu season with know-how on ways to take care of themselves and their dear ones with what they have around at home. Everything that will be highlighted is incredibly accessible—you may even have the ingredients to make much of what I discuss in your cupboard or icebox.

Soul Gardens brings programming from OSS Project into your home. In this series, hosts discuss nutrition, herbal medicine and self-care, sharing delicious recipes and herbal remedies that you can prepare at home. OSS connects communities with artists, creating gardens that empower, celebrate and reclaim identity and knowledge and utilizing urban farming, storytelling, educational programming and community building as a means to dismantle systemic and structural inequity.

It will be an honor to share this material with you. I hope that you can join!
