The CSA, typically short for Community Supported Agriculture, connects farmers and consumers to one another in a tried-and-true model built on the concept of shared risk and shared bounty.

As a member of Olamina Botanicals’ 2024-2025 Community Supported Apothecary you’ll receive a box of 5 potent herbal remedies once every three months in June, September, December and March. Each blend will be crafted by our founder Jess Turner from the flowers, buds, leaves and roots she grows and forages on her small allotment in Hudson, NY. You can look forward to delicious, effective formulas, tailored to your body’s needs across the four seasons.

What’s more, Jess will formulate each blend right as the medicinal plants come into season in her fields, ensuring peak medicinal constituent potency. She will then ship your seasonally-tailored offerings by mail to help you stock your kitchen cupboard, medicine cabinet, first aid kit, dinner table and nightstand with locally-grown, natural remedies.

2023 Summer Solstice CSA Share

This season, CSA members can look forward to:

Why might you choose this CSA?

A CSA is an alternative mode of exchange that mutually benefits both the grower and its members. Growing herbs using regenerative agricultural practices while keeping an apothecary afloat, as Jess Turner does, is at times quite risky. So is making empowered choices toward one’s well-being within our existing socioeconomic system.

The CSA—and other solidarity economy models— disrupt this paradigm.
