In this workshop we will examine fresh mugwort, mint, rosemary and lavender harvested from the Marble Hill Community Center garden and talk about the plants’ medicinal uses, focusing in particular on their benefits for joint and tendon health. Particpants will make and take home a mugwort smudge stick and achey joint salve. Presented in collaboration with Outer Seed Shadow, an organization working to create and support public green spaces incorporating public art, storytelling, urban farming, educational programming and community building as a means to address systemic and structural issues of social inequity.
